The NZ Transport Agency has advised users of State Highway 1 between Hamilton and Cambridge, that speed restriction and manual traffic operations will be in place next week, as part of ongoing preliminary work to construct the Cambridge section of the Waikato expressway.

Tree felling work on State Highway 1 between Pencarrow Road and Discombe Road will start from Monday, December 2, and continue until Friday, December 6 – while the speed limit will be reduced from 100 km/h to 30 km/h with manual stop/go traffic management in place from 9.00am to 4.00pm.

This work is weather dependent, and if wet, the work will commence on the next fine day.
The Transport Agency thanks transport operators and motorists for their patience and ongoing co-operation while this work is being carried out.
