Vehicle Inspection New Zealand (VINZ) chief executive Gordon Shaw is supporting his company’s participation in Movember by shaving off his beard, and possibly his hair too, on Monday, October 31.

Shaw has also set up a ‘Give a Little.’ page in the hope of raising more than $2500 from his pre-Movember shave-off to raise funds for the Cancer Society.

Shaw says he is more than willing to shave off his full head of hair, but only by achieving fundraising of more than $2500.

“This year VINZ is taking up the challenge of Movember with some site and nationwide events planned,” says Shaw.

“I have decided to be the one putting his hair on the line. I too, want to be part of Movember. However, there is one problem, I have a full head of hair and a full beard,” says Shaw.

“I have lost friends and family to cancer, so I want to raise as much money as possible for the cancer society,” he says.

“I am willing to have all my hair shaved off but only if the $2500 mark is achieved,” says Shaw.

“The highest bid by a staff member at VINZ will mean they get the honour of shaving the bosses head,” he says.
