TWL launches online shopping option

One of New Zealand’s largest transport parts supply businesses, TWL, has launched the first phase of a new online shopping option for customers.

Phase one opens up more than 7000 stock keeping units (SKUs) of general ‘business to consumer’(B2C) products with a second phase planned to cover the full TWL range, bringing more heavy transport parts and equipment online.

“At TWL, we’re always looking to deliver a better customer experience,” national sales manager Mike Brears says.

“We’re excited to offer a quicker, easier way to view products, specifications, and stock availability, and get deliveries straight to the customer’s door.

“We’re also offering ‘click and collect’ at all 19 of our branches across the country,” he says.

Driving digital innovation has been a key theme at TWL over the past couple of years.

The digital smarts and analytics that have driven TWL’s procurement and stock holding strategy have now been used to create a better customer solution, the company says.

“The TWL ‘secret sauce’ has always been our ability to meet the market without compromising on quality across a large range of products,” Brears adds.

“The new website gives customers the ability to search by product type, brand, or part number quickly and easily. However, our focus on quality product remains unchanged.”

Over the next 12-18 months, TWL plans to expand its online offering from light trailer, general consumables to include body hardware, heavy transport equipment, safety products, vehicle lighting and more. This will serve its core business-to-business (B2B) heavy transport customers.

“It’s great to be able to provide our customers with a new way to buy from TWL, but our main mode will still be in bricks and mortar branches across the country,” Brears says.

“Our people will keep on doing business across the counter, in workshops, or from the back of a ute. Our customers know that if they need a part, the team at TWL are there for them.”
