Turners Trucks and Machinery are celebrating the opening of a new site.
The company marked the first day of trading at the new 160 Roscommon Rd, Wiri location on Thursday with a live auction of over 50 assets.
The one-hectare premises was purchased for $4.8million and has a range of gear for sale from trucks, trailers, agriculture gear and more.
Trucks and Machinery general manager Dean Brindle says the expansion is part of a focus to be “more retail and customer focused”.
There are 16 staff working from the new purpose-built site.
Brindle says everyone is happy with the brand-new building which is a step up from the portacom office of the previous site.
“We’ve built with expansion in mind,” he says.
Turners Limited told the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZX) it was securing the Wiri property to allow for the expansion of its fast-growing truck and machinery business.
It says the newly acquired South Auckland property is on a highly visible corner location with easy access to motorways and arterial roads.
The Keith Andrews Trucks operation is directly opposite the new location.
Turners chief executive Todd Hunter says the trucks and machinery business “continues to develop with increasing sales being realised”.
The company has more than 20 automotive retail sites around the country with a network of around 1500 dealers and brokers.
