Michael Dossor has been chairman of Turners Auctions since 2003 having been involved with the company prior to its listing and separation from Turners & Growers Limited.

He was managing Director of Turners & Growers before retiring in 2005. He remains a director of Turners & Growers, McKay Shipping Limited and investment company Bartel Holdings Limited who now have a 7% shareholding in Dorchester.

Antony Vriens has been a director and Chairman of Dorchester’s insurance subsidiary DPL Insurance Limited since 2012.

Dorchester chairman Grant Baker welcomed the pair.

“Michael and Antony have been closely involved with operations that will provide increasing profits for the group,” Baker says. “We are excited about the opportunities that arise with our recent acquisition of the Turners business.

“Likewise, insurance sales are growing through external channels, but the additional opportunities to market products through Dorchester Finance, Oxford Finance, and Turners makes DPL Insurance a key profit driver for the total business.”

The company has already confirmed it will be renaming itself Turners Group.
