Tricky to out run this police car

Don’t try to out run the Dubai police as they have the world’s fastest cop car.

It’s a Bugatti Veyron, which can reach 407kmh, Stuff reports.

Police there have just received a certificate by Guinness World Records for having the world’s fastest police car in service.

The Bugatti Veyron is one of its 14-strong fleet of supercars. These include the McLaren MP4-12C, Aston Martin One-77, Audi R8, Mercedes-Benz SLS, Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari FF, Bentley Continental and a Nissan GT-R. There’s a relatively sedate BMW M6 too, along with an impressive SUV, the Brabus-tuned Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

A fleet of luxury supercars may sound odd, but it fits in perfectly with Dubai, a city where a Bentley or Rolls-Royce needs to be wrapped in gold to have anyone look twice.

The second fastest police car is the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, owned by the Italian force.
