Transport Well NZ Charitable Trust has partnered with the Australian Automobile Association (AAA) as it develops an integrated safety network for New Zealand’s transport industry.
The partnership will give Transport Well access to Australian research, industry knowledge and safety insights to support programmes and resources for New Zealand’s transport, logistics and warehousing sectors.
Transport Well trustee Carol McGeady says working with organisations facing similar transport challenges will help bring proven research and resources into the New Zealand market.
“AAA brings extensive knowledge, research and experience from across the Australian transport and automotive sectors. This partnership will provide valuable insights that can help us develop practical, evidence-based resources for New Zealand businesses and their workers.
“Transport Well’s Safety Ecosystem is built on collaboration. By connecting with respected organisations such as AAA, we can share knowledge, reduce duplication and ensure New Zealand benefits from research and resources that have already been developed and tested.”
The organisations will exchange information, research and best practice covering road and workplace safety, emerging transport issues and the development of safer and more resilient transport systems.
AAA is Australia’s peak organisation representing the country’s motoring clubs and undertakes research and policy work covering transport, road safety, infrastructure and mobility.
It joins Transport Well’s existing Australian partners, including the National Road Safety Partnership Program, Australian Trucking Association and TruckSafe Australia.
“Our goal is to make trusted safety information and practical resources available to every transport business in New Zealand, regardless of its size, location or industry association membership,” McGeady says.
“This partnership adds further strength and credibility to the Transport Well Safety Ecosystem and will help us deliver resources that are relevant, accessible and capable of making a real difference.”
Transport Well is an independent, industry-led charitable trust focused on safety, wellbeing and workforce capability across New Zealand’s transport, logistics and warehousing sectors.
Its programmes include TruckSafe NZ, HARMfree Transport & Logistics, trauma recovery, warehouse safety, heavy vehicle recovery, workforce development and regional industry delivery.
