Brennan, 57, an Australian and Irish citizen, has spent most of his career in the transportation industry where he has gathered experience over 23 years in the UK, Ireland and Australia.

“A constant source of joy for me is the calibre and professionalism of individuals at Transdev,” Brennan says.

“Running safe and reliable public transport around the clock each day, involves overcoming many hurdles and obstacles. I enjoy those challenges and love being part of our great Transdev team who deliver everyday.

“I am passionate about public transport and use the tram to get to work every day. I’m also a regular bus, train and ferry user as I get around Sydney and beyond.

“It is deeply satisfying that I am constantly challenged, motivated and delighted by the people I work with.”

Brennan brings an in-depth understanding and experience to his new chief executive role. He has a wealth of light rail experience, including leading the team that delivered Dublin’s, then Sydney’s light rail network and overseeing the building of the new Parramatta light rail line which is currently under construction.
