TR Group has opened its sixth branch in Australia with the addition of a new site in Sydney.
Situated at 5 Montore Rd, Minto, it includes 15,000 square metres of yard space plus a branch office.
It marks continuous expansion across the ditch for the New Zealand-owned heavy vehicle fleet rental and lease businesses.
Through its national expansion strategy, it adds to existing sites in Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Newcastle, and Perth.
New Sydney branch manager Jamal Stent has been part of the TR team for a few years and “jumped at the chance” to lead the new branch.
“It’s a great opportunity and I’m really looking forward to getting out and meeting new and existing customers to introduce them to the gear we have and the service that we offer.
“We’ve got a great selection of trucks and trailers available at the branch across a wide range of industry segments that I think customers will love,” Stent says.
TR Groups says adding a branch in Sydney has been “a long-held ambition” since starting in Australia in 2019.
It will allow the firm to better service operators in Sydney and the surrounding areas.
TR Group Australia general manager Peter Irwin says the team is excited to be growing the national branch network.
“This provides us with a wider scope for servicing the greater Sydney area, and with the existing Newcastle branch, better servicing of the New South Wales region.
“This is taking us one step closer to providing nationwide rental and lease services for our customers,” Irwin says.
TR Group’s heavy commercial vehicle rental and lease business includes a fleet of over 8500 trucks and trailers across Australia and New Zealand.
