Two standout Isuzu Trucks dealerships have taken top honours in the brand’s annual Grandmasters awards, which recognise the best performing dealerships across New Zealand.
The 2024 awards honoured both metropolitan and regional winners with accolades going beyond sales performance –– judging criteria also included customer satisfaction, service, administration, facility standards, and technical training.
The Grandmasters title is designed to reflect “the best of the very best across every facet of the dealership experience,” Isuzu says.
In the metropolitan category, CAL Isuzu Hamilton, led by dealer principal Alex Boles, claimed top honours. The Hamilton branch was the first in the broader CAL Group to gain Isuzu franchise status in 2008 –– a move that sparked further dealership growth in Auckland, Tauranga, and Whangārei.
Meanwhile, Robertson Isuzu in Palmerston North, under the leadership of dealer principal Terry Kurvink, took out the regional category. With a long history as an Isuzu dealership since 1990, the team brings decades of product knowledge and customer service expertise to its operation.

Both dealerships are repeat winners, reflecting their ongoing commitment to excellence within the Isuzu network.
“Isuzu Trucks again claimed the number-one position in New Zealand’s truck market across 2024, an achievement we’re incredibly proud of and grateful for, and that is thanks in no small part to the commitment our entire dealer network show to our customers, our brand and our product,” Isuzu NZ general manager Dave Ballantyne says.
“Our dealers and their incredible staff are often the first and only contact our customers have with our brand, and I’m so proud to have CAL Isuzu Hamilton and Robertson Isuzu leading the way.”
