Teletrac Navman launches Energy Hub for mixed-energy fleets

Teletrac Navman has launched Energy Hub, a new feature within its TN360 fleet management platform designed to give operators a single view of energy use across mixed-energy fleets.

The solution combines electric vehicle charging data with traditional fuel information, allowing businesses to monitor petrol, diesel and alternative energy sources through one platform.

Teletrac Navman says the launch addresses the growing complexity of managing fleets that include both internal combustion engine vehicles and EVs, where data is often spread across fleet management systems, fuel cards and multiple charging networks.

Chief executive Alain Samaha says the challenge for fleet operators has shifted from collecting data to making it useful.

“Fleet operations are becoming increasingly complex as businesses manage the transition to mixed-energy environments. The challenge is no longer simply collecting information but bringing it together in a way that supports better operational decision-making.”

Samaha says Energy Hub brings those data sources together to provide a clearer picture of fleet energy performance.

“Energy Hub helps businesses reduce fragmentation and gain clearer insights into energy performance, bringing these data points together into one platform, giving organizations a clearer, unified view of energy usage and enabling a more integrated, data-driven approach to fleet management.”

The platform provides real-time information including battery state of charge and estimated driving range for EVs and hybrids. It also supports configurable alerts and exception reporting to identify issues such as overcharging, inefficient charging behaviour and unusual fuel transactions.

Energy Hub integrates fuel card transaction data from major providers, allowing fleet managers to reconcile fuel spending and detect anomalies without storing sensitive card information. It also includes EV charging reimbursement functionality, enabling organisations to accurately calculate and allocate business-related charging costs using driver trip data.

A fleet-wide dashboard provides visibility of energy consumption, charging events, cost per kilowatt-hour, transaction volumes and overall energy spend. Fleet managers can also monitor live charging status and locate public charging infrastructure.

Teletrac Navman says the system is aimed at private fleets, transport operators and local government organisations seeking to reduce operating costs while supporting sustainability and environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives.

“As the industry evolves, visibility and integration will be critical to unlocking the full value of fleet data,” says Samaha.

“Energy Hub gives our customers a single, connected view of their energy ecosystem, helping them reduce costs, improve efficiency and navigate the transition to more sustainable operations with confidence.”

Energy Hub is available globally as part of the TN360 platform.
