Fleet management technology provider Teletrac Navman has completed its acquisition by private equity firm Respida Capital, marking the start of a new chapter as a standalone private company.
The acquisition, first announced earlier this year, sees former parent company Vontier Corporation, which remains listed on the New York Stock Exchange, retain a minority equity stake in the business.
Teletrac Navman provides connected fleet and asset management solutions for the transport, logistics, construction and public sectors. Its AI-enabled TN360 platform delivers real-time data to help fleet operators improve efficiency, safety and sustainability.
Chief executive Alain Samaha says the new ownership structure will support the company’s next phase of growth.
“This new partnership with Respida will enable an exciting next phase of growth for Teletrac Navman,” Samaha says.
“Respida’s deep technology expertise and long-term investment approach will allow us to accelerate our momentum across multiple strategic pillars, including meaningful product innovation, and vertical and geography expansion, while maintaining the high quality of service our customers expect from us.”
Respida Capital founder and managing member James Zubok says fleet operators are facing increasing operational and regulatory pressures, creating demand for more advanced technology solutions.
“Fleet management is at an inflection point, with operators seeking new ways to stay productive and profitable amid rising cost and regulatory pressures,” Zubok says.
“Teletrac Navman is uniquely positioned to help operators solve these challenges. We are excited to partner with Teletrac Navman and support its continued momentum during this critical growth period.”
Headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois, Teletrac Navman operates globally, providing cloud-based fleet management and connected mobility solutions that leverage artificial intelligence to improve operational decision-making.
Respida, based in Miami, Florida, is a software-focused private equity firm that partners with management teams at growth-oriented software and software-enabled companies.
