Heavy equipment distributor TDX has been confirmed as the exclusive authorised distributor of Fuchs material handlers in New Zealand.
The New Zealand-owned company announced the partnership with German-engineered machinery innovator Fuchs – a Terex brand – during the NZ Association of Metal Recyclers (AMR) Convention.
Effective immediately, the agreement sees TDX add the globally respected Fuchs material handling equipment to its product range, expanding its footprint in key sectors including scrap and waste handling, timber and port operations.
“This partnership with Fuchs is a proud moment for TDX,” sales and marketing general manager Joe Gradwell says.
“For over 40 years, we’ve built our business on offering best-in-class equipment backed by exceptional service, and FUCHS embodies that same philosophy. Their material handlers are second to none in terms of innovation, efficiency, and operator safety.
“We’re excited to bring this legendary brand to New Zealand under our banner and deliver unmatched value to our customers across recycling, timber, port, and waste sectors.”
Fuchs, which traces its history back over a century, is best known for pioneering innovations such as the height-adjustable, swivelling cab patented in 1975. The brand’s material handlers are manufactured at its advanced production facility in Bad Schönborn, Germany.
Christian Schuster, regional sales manager at Fuchs, welcomed the new distribution arrangement.
“Partnering with TDX in New Zealand marks a new and exciting chapter for Fuchs. TDX is a highly respected distributor known for their customer-first approach and deep industry knowledge.
“Their commitment to excellence mirrors our own, making them the ideal partner to grow our footprint in the region.
“We look forward to a long and successful partnership that brings the world-class FUCHS experience to more Kiwi customers.”
TDX will provide nationwide support for the full range of Fuchs material handlers, including local sales, genuine parts, expert servicing and after-sales assistance.
The new addition further enhances TDX’s product line-up, which already includes globally recognised brands such as Volvo Construction Equipment, Yanmar Construction Equipment, Shell Lubricants, Kohler Generators, Perkins Engines, and Allison Transmissions.
