Priority Logistics is a transport and logistics company, owned by Aaron
Forster, and based in Mount Maunganui.  The company specialises in
container transport, devanning, storage, and cartage of bulk liquids, and
operates a freight distribution company, ATL Freight Limited.

Tapper Transport Limited, the largest container operator in Auckland, has
purchased Priority Logistics to establish a base in the Bay of Plenty and
expand their container and cross-docking operations.

Andrew Scott, director of Tapper Transport, says the opportunity to purchase a
successful transport and logistics company in Mount Maunganui will enable
Tapper Transport to serve the growing container market in Tauranga.

Forster, managing director of Priority Logistics, says there is a good fit between
Tapper Transport and Priority Logistics, and he is looking forward to offering
his current customers the benefits of the extra resources made available under
the new owner.

“I can see increasing growth prospects for the company in container
devanning, cross-docking and bulk liquids transportation in the Bay of Plenty /
Waikato / Auckland regions,” says Forster.

He also acknowledges the crew of Priority and ATL and says
they can take pride in building a company that is an attractive acquisition for
a market leader like Tapper Transport, which is 100% owned by the Port of
Tauranga.
