Both companies specialise in enhancing the appearance of factory standard models by creating unique exterior styling kits and retrimming the interior to improve each vehicle beyond the mainstream offering.

RVE chief executive Dave Stanners says working with Carlex Designs is like finding the twin brother you never knew you hand.

“The synergies between our two companies are immense, and this new relationship will strengthen our company’s offerings, both in the market place here and in Europe.

“There is an increasing interest in the customisation of utes, and as our offerings and those of Carlex Design sit at different price points in the market, it will give New Zealand consumers more choice when it comes to enhancing their new ute,” Stanners says.

The arrangement is a strategic alliance that will see RVE distribute Carlex Design’s Pickup Designs range here and in other Australasian markets.

Pickup Design’s EXY range features an aggressively styled exterior and enhanced interior. It’s a design theory that is built upon by the EXY Off-Road Extreme with raised suspension and all-terrain tyres.

Then there’s the EXY Urban with carbon-fibre wheel arches and bumper extension and a lower riding stance on 20-inch alloys.

The Pickup Design range will be available via RVE and its dealership network with specifications, pricing, and availability expected in the second half of the year.

RVE has built a first class reputation in the New Zealand market for producing styling kits and interior enhancements for a range of vehicles.

This includes the Ford Ranger XSV and the Nissan Navara R-Sport.

The new partnership will see Poland-based Carlex Design represent these, and other RVE products, throughout Europe.

Carlex Design board president Damian Skotnicki says he is looking forward to working with RVE.

“Co-operation with RVE, which has considerable experience in the automotive industry, is a milestone in the implementation of the predefined strategy for the Pickup Design brand.

“We can’t wait to take the unique and complimentary offerings of RVE to the EU market place,” he says.
