The New Zealand transport and automotive industry is getting behind Sime Motors NZ in a series of Trade Me auctions to support the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand — with all bids starting at $1.

The Gear Up for Mental Health Trade Me auctions are now live and run until 8pm Tuesday, March 18.

They feature a wide range of items to bid on, including a $10,000 set of Alcoa Durabright 6×4 truck wheel set, a limited-edition Audi Auto Union model, a 340 litre Thule roof box, Weber Family Q+ barbecue, smokeless Wizard fire pit and a BMW Motorrad motorcycle jacket.

For car and truck enthusiasts there’s also a range of genuine Porsche, Ferrari, Volvo, Mack, Hino and UD truck merchandise up for grabs.

“We were delighted to see the generosity of the transport and automotive industry in response to our call for donations during Mental Health Awareness Week last October,” Sime Motors NZ managing director Pat McKenna says.

“It’s now time to turn that generosity into dollars to support the critical work done by the Mental Health Foundation NZ – 100% of proceeds go directly to the charity.”
