TI201304190000505734000800A disgruntled Argentine truck driver was arrested by police after locking two inspectors into the reefer unit of his vehicle and driving off reports Associated Press (AP).

During a routine stop, sanitation inspectors entered the refrigerated compartment and told the driver that his cargo of desserts wasn’t being stored at an acceptable temperature, so they were going to retain it according to the AP report.

The driver took umbrage saying: “I want to go, they can’t keep me here.”

The upset driver then locked them inside and drove off. Inside the startled inspectors called their colleagues, who then contacted local police. The truck was intercepted after travelling more than three kilometres and police arrested the wayward driver.

The inspectors were safely rescued but found shivering says the AP report.
