Despite flooding, all state highways in North Auckland and Northland are open, but four roads remain closed.
Falls Rd in Warkworth and Wayby Valley Rd in Wellsford are closed to traffic while Pakiri Rd and Whangaripo Valley Rd are being assessed to determine if they can be opened.
Matakana Valley Road has been reduced to a single lane at the intersection of Govan Wilson Rd and Pakiri Rd due to flooding.
Contractors are busy assessing roads as well as carrying out repairs to potholes and minor slips.
The NZ Transport Agency is calling on motorists to take care.
