Temperature-controlled transport operator Refrigafreighters (RF) has announced has announced the development of a new Auckland hub set to open next year.
Located in the Airport Oaks area, the firm says the new facility will enhance its transport services and support future growth for its third-party logistics (3PL) customers.
The 2.2 hectare site will include the latest technology and eco-friendly designs and is expected to open in mid-2026.
It will feature a 7500 square metre building with 10 docks, significant truck and trailer parking and 6000 frozen and 2000 chilled pallet positions for 3PL services.
Apollo Projects have been commissioned to undertake the design and construction of the facility.
“The investment in this Auckland hub allows RF to consolidate sites in Auckland and comes after RF commissioned a purpose-built facility at Ruakura, Hamilton, in late 2024.
“RF is excited to continue providing exceptional service and innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers,” the company says.
