Following in the footsteps of the New Zealand distributor, the Hino brand will celebrate it’s 50th year of operation in Australia in 2015 by presenting an important historical model at the Brisbane truck show.
The 50th anniversary theme will be supported with the display of a 1970 Hino KL 300 that belongs to CMI Hino, Australia’s longest serving Hino dealer that marks 45 years with the brand this year.
The KL 300 is an example of the longevity that Hino has offered from the first vehicles sold in the count, having covered more than 1.6 million kilometres in its lifetime while remaining in good condition.
The KL 300 is equipped with an EC 100 engine which develops 88kW and 298Nm of torque.
Hino Australia will also present models from its 300, 500 and 700 Series ranges, and some new truck accessories at the Brisbane Truck Show.
Hino’s 300 Series light duty models will be represented by a 716 Hybrid, a 717 Crew Tipper and a 921 Auto fitted with a range of Hino genuine accessories.
The 716 Hybrid on the stand is from the TNT Australia fleet – which operates the largest hybrid truck fleet in Australia, with a total of 54 vehicles. The 717 Crew Tipper showcases an example of Hino’s Built to Go models.
The 500 Series will be represented by the new FE 1426 Auto (equipped with a tilt tray) and an FM 2630 Auto, which is the latest addition to Hino Australia’s ‘two pedal’ model lineup.
The 700 Series range will be represented by an FS 2848 ProShift 16 AMT tipper.
One of the vehicles on display will be fitted with two new Hino genuine accessories.
The Hino Lane Change Visual Assist system enhances driver awareness of the vehicle’s potential blind spots on either side when changing lanes. It displays the side view images on the multimedia unit when the turning indicator is applied.
The Hino DVR dash cam features a 5.0 megapixel front camera and a 2.0 megapixel rear camera, and records driving footage in high definition with two channels. It is Android/iOS supported, and also features a digital zoom and parking monitoring.
The Brisbane truck show runs from 14 to 17 May.
