In a move to increase global market share and stability, PIRTEK USA has been acquired by the Australian-based Duncan family, who founded the franchise platform, PIRTEK fluid transfer solutions in 1980.
PIRTEK commenced operation in New Zealand in 1995 with an aim to provide fluid transfer products and services to customers in the earthmoving, construction, manufacturing and production industries.
The acquisition of the US business by the Duncan family creates further synergies across the Pacific, while strengthening PIRTEK’s existing partnerships in Africa, Canada, China Mongolia, New Zealand and Singapore.
“As a group, this will allow PIRTEK to broaden the customer base with a high level of corporate strength and stability, while increasing market share,” says PIRTEK international director, Glenn Duncan.
The PIRTEK franchise model was established in Australia in 1980 by the Duncan family and now there are more than 400 PIRTEK service centres and mobile units located internationally.
The independent acquisition of PIRTEK USA by the Duncan family is not connected to the acquisition of PIRTEK Europe by Halifax Group. The family says the acquisitions are co-incidental in nature.
