Some Auckland bus services operated by Pavlovich Coachlines will be cancelled on Wednesday.
Industrial action by around 60 members of First Union will affect 48 bus trips between 6.30am and 9am, May 16. Train and ferry services are not affected
The drivers will be picketing the Pavlovich Coachlines’ Mt Roskill workplace for higher wages.
First Union organiser Graham McKean says the workers are pushing back against the Public Transport Operating Model which is the council tendering process. McKean says the model favours companies paying the lowest rates.
