On August 7, Iveco NZ welcomed its customers to a parts and services open day.
Iveco had already opened its $16 million New Zealand headquarters on April 3, featuring an expanded parts warehouse and the only flush-mounted heavy truck and trailer lift in the country.
The social event was aimed at customers, to thank them for their loyalty to Iveco.
TransportTalk took a tour around the facility at the Wiri site. It incorporates the company’s New Zealand head office along with a dealership offering sales, service and parts for the full Iveco range of vans, trucks and minibuses.

“Having our own workshop, we need to just support that and drive that,” warehouse operations Malcolm Smith says. “It’s a whole new avenue.”
Smith says moving was a big task, even though the old headquarters is only 300m down the road. The new warehouse is around three times the size of the previous facility.

Iveco NZ staff and customers were treated to a buffet dinner and drinks. Ten prizes were up for grabs, from Iveco shirts to toy trucks for the kids.
Iveco NZ dealer principal Jason Keddie says the event is like saying thank you to the loyal customers.

Keddie stresses being customer centric as Iveco heads towards the end of the year, which he says will be a busy time.

Keddie and his staff enjoyed themselves mingling in their home turf.
The event started at 3pm, with guests trickling off from 5pm to 6pm.
