The New Zealand Transport Agency is adding a new page to its website outlining relevant information for transportation operators driving between Christchurch and Picton.
Transport companies can access this web page.
It will be kept up to date with more information as it becomes available says NZTA communications manager Janette Williams.
There is a general travel information web page for Canterbury and Marlborough regions, including a map showing the alternative route to State Highway 1 here.
Any operator planning to go to the South Island should check both of these pages for the latest updates on travel conditions advises NZTA.
