New Zealand industrial and automotive parts provider SAECOWilson is now operating under a new name along with the launch of its first new store in Dunedin.
The change comes as SAECOWilson and other trading divisions, HCD Flow Technology, Seal Innovations Ltd (SIL), and Conveyor & Transmission (C&T) consolidate under new parent company Motion New Zealand Limited.
SAECOWilson will be a key division of Motion NZ in the first part of a major growth phase that includes the launch of its new MiMotion Centre store in Dunedin.
It will make Motion NZ – which has its roots in Wilson Bros, a company started in Invercargill in 1919 – the largest supplier of industrial parts and products locally.
The change is described as a “pivotal” move for the business as it continues to drive growth, meet increasing demand, and significantly increase capacity and efficiencies across the country.
Motion NZ executive general manager Mark Forster says the name change and launch of MiMotion Centre is the start of a significant growth period.
The new store will bring three trading divisions (HCD Flow Technology, Seal Innovations and SAECOWilson) under one roof.
“Having greater capacity and a more streamlined operations in Dunedin for example means we can have the right products and a larger inventory available to meet a customer’s needs as well as ensuring quick and efficient service.”
The MiMotion Centre is being used as a blueprint for the roll out of similar branches in Christchurch and Hamilton before the end of the year, with more locations planned in the future.
“Our roots are in regional New Zealand and continuing to service customers locally is key to the business,” Forster says.
“These branches will increase efficiencies but more importantly, it means we can provide an even better service to customers.”
The consolidation also means Motion NZ will have a higher level of service and increase access to a wider range of products and inventory for customers across New Zealand.
“We’ve got a highly-skilled and dedicated team whose key focus is providing the best possible service.
“We’re looking forward to enhancing our operation further with these changes which will ensure the company continues to grow and thrive now that they are all under the Motion New Zealand Limited name,” Forster says.
