New Fuso parts line on way

Mitsubishi Fuso is launching a new replacement parts programme to complement its traditional Fuso genuine parts offerings.

Dubbed the Diamond Value Parts Program, the aim is to provide dealers and service points with more than 150 maintenance and repair parts for Fuso trucks that have passed out of warranty.

Fuso say the parts will be priced below the genuine parts line to allow them to compete more effectively with aftermarket maintenance and repair operations.

Total product lifetimes may be slightly shorter than those for Genuine Mitsubishi Fuso parts, but durability, performance and efficiency are nearly a match to the genuine parts.

The line includes air, fuel and oil filters, belts, hoses, clutch and filter lines, brake pads and more.

Len Doherty, vice president of parts operations at Fuso America, says: “Even though we offer an industry-leading 5-year/280,000km (175,000-mile) powertrain warranty, many Fuso owners keep their trucks well beyond expiration of our warranty.

“To help them keep their trucks in service even longer, we can now offer competitively priced maintenance and repair parts they can still trust, installed by factory-trained technicians. And our goal, as always, is to provide our customers with lower cost-of-ownership and the best owner experience possible.”

After launching in selected markets in 2011, the parts are now available in more than 100 markets globally.

Fuso’s global head of sales and service, Kai-Uwe Seidenfuss, says the initial customer and dealer feedback has been positive in the pilot markets, leading to the brand’s global expansion.

“This expansion once more underlines our customer orientation. We also constantly optimise our Fuso products in terms of operating costs to maintain a leading position in our core markets,” says Seidenfuss.
