First Commercials Ltd (FCL) is Fuso New Zealand’s new representative in the central and lower North Island.

FCL is owned and operated by long-time Palmerston North Fuso sales manager Ben Tacon and workshop manager Andrew John, who, with investor backing, have purchased Central Commercials Vehicles, Palmerston North.

From May 20, the new company took over sales and servicing of Fuso trucks from the existing Rangitikei Street site.

“We are excited to bring the same great service associated with this location to customers between Lake Taupo and Cook Strait, excluding Taranaki,” says Tacon.

“I completed my apprenticeship with Jolly and Mills in 1983 and started selling Fuso 10 years later. I have spent my entire career developing the Jolly and Mills ethos and building strong relationships with commercial operators in the lower North Island.

“I remain passionate about the industry and our region, as does my business partner Andrew John.”

“Mr Tacon and Mr John have for many years been staunch ambassadors for Fuso,” says Mitsubishi Motors executive director Warren Brown.

“This is underpinned by the strength of their commitment to supporting local business, and unwavering focus on delivering top-quality service to truck operators throughout the region.

“With the financial backing of silent investors Peter Broughan and Brent Norrish of PTS Logistics Ltd, FCL is well positioned to support its customers’ operations – a cornerstone of the business in years past.”
