Move Logistics Group has appointed Julia Raue as its new board chair.
Raue joined the board of the NZX and ASX-listed freight firm as an independent director in May 2023, bringing governance experience across a variety of sectors.
She currently holds directorships with Southern Cross Group, Jade Software, and Global Women.
Raue will step down as a director of The Warehouse Group (NZX/ASX) on May 31, having previously served as a director of Z Energy (NZX/ASX) and TVNZ.
Her governance experience includes chairing several committees, such as Nominations & People and Health Safety & Wellbeing.
Prior to her governance career, Raue was chief information officer at Air New Zealand for nine years, where she developed a strong background in business transformation, digital change, and customer excellence.
Outgoing chair Lorraine Witten previously indicated her intention to retire from the board at the 2024 Annual Meeting and had planned to step down as chair beforehand to ensure a smooth transition.
Raue was elected as chair with the full support of the board.
“It is a privilege to be chair of this long-standing business,” Raue commented.
“Despite the challenging conditions across the sector and the economy, the board remains committed to unleashing the potential of Move.
“We have excellent leadership in the business and a clear strategy as we continue to position Move as a preferred end-to-end supply chain solutions provider.”
