Travel industry veteran Daniel Hest has been appointed chief executive of global motorhome joint venture TH2.
The business is a partnership between New Zealand based Tourism Holdings Limited (THL) and United States RV manufacturer Thor Industries.
Hest starts the Chicago-based role on February 4. He takes over from outgoing chief executive Bob Wheeler who is leaving to focus on his role as president of travel trailers and coaches company Airstream.
THL chief executive officer Grant Webster says the joint venture is in a strong position and Hest will “leverage the work done to date and grow the business with the high caliber executive team we have across the globe in TH2”.

TH2 aims to enhance motorhome use through digital platforms and the sharing economy to RV owners around the world.
The company launched its first edition Togo mobile app in September 2018.
Initial capabilities include the ability to track maintenance, keep service records and contacts handy, as well as set custom notifications and access helpful travel checklists.
Eventually, the app will offer trip planning, campsite booking, roadside assistance and more.
