Former Ministry of Transport employees who raised concerns about fraudster Joanne Harrison’s behaviour have been reportedly been vindicated by the State Services Commission.
The commission’s investigation looked at whether the employees were forced from their jobs in restructuring led by Harrison, after bringing to light issues associated with fake invoices and taxpayer-funded travel.
RNZ is reporting the former employees will have their actions cleared by the inquiry findings, which are due out today.
Harrison stole almost $750,000 from the ministry and is currently serving more than three years in prison.
