The new suite is in Takanini and includes a workshop, parts supply and sales offices. The building is shared by sister company Crane Sales New Zealand Limited.

The addition of the new site follows the acquisition of distributorship for Kobelco excavators. Other brands sold and serviced from the new centre include Metso crushers and screens, Atlas Copco rock breakers and ZF transmission components.

According to Mimico managing director Rex Davies: “Having a branch in the all-important Auckland market will help us to cut the time it takes to supply common parts.”

The centre will also be home to mobile service vehicles which will be used to handle breakdowns from the Bombay Hills north
