He brings more than 30 years of enterprise sales and leadership experience across technology, telecommunications, retail, supply chain and logistics.

Viney previously held senior roles at Telstra Enterprise, NTT Australia and JDA Software, which is now known as Blue Yonder. He also spent several years working at Woolworths.

Microlise says Viney will work with new and existing customers to identify how its technology can address fleet safety, compliance and operational efficiency requirements.

He will also work with the company’s product and leadership teams to ensure customer feedback and regional market requirements help shape its technology.

“Microlise has a strong foundation in APAC, established customer relationships and significant potential to grow,” Viney says.

“What attracted me was the opportunity to contribute to a business focused on making transport safer and more sustainable. Safer transport is not a cost, it’s fundamental to running a better business.

“I’m looking forward to working with our customers and the wider team to understand their operational priorities, demonstrate the value our technology can deliver and build long-term partnerships.

“Sustainable growth comes from solving real customer challenges and creating value, rather than simply pursuing transactions.”

Microlise says the appointment reflects its continuing investment in regional leadership and its support for transport and logistics operators across Australia and New Zealand.
