The move will allow it to accommodate the growing Mercedes-Benz product portfolio – including passenger and light commercial vehicles, sports and luxury cars, and SUVs, along with various technological innovations.

Approval has been received to commence ground works at the new 8200 square-metre site, which will house a showroom comprising more than 3300 square metres of floor space over two levels, with an opening date of 2020.

Mercedes-Benz North Shore managing director Craig Innes says providing superior customer service has always been a consistent focus for his team.

“The opportunity to build an even better, more interactive experience will help us to continue to meet our customers’ needs well into the future,” he says.

“We’re excited to work with Mercedes-Benz to create a retail experience unlike anything New Zealand has seen before, and to showcase the expanding model portfolio as well as the innovations and services that our customers want to learn about.”

Mercedes-Benz Australia-Pacific chief executive Horst von Sanden says the Mercedes-Benz North Shore showroom will kick off an exciting new era for the brand.”

“Craig Innes and his team are making an incredible investment in the future of Mercedes-Benz, and I’d like to commend their ongoing commitment to the brand over a period of many years,” he says.

“This new Mercedes-Benz North Shore showroom will be exceptionally well placed to embrace the future of mobility and the development of the forthcoming EQ range.”
