Phil Wheelans Trucks and Vans representation of Mercedes Benz commercial vehicles in the lower North Island has ended, after a previous rumour that Mercedes Benz New Zealand was rationalising its business.
The agreement, says Mercedes Benz New Zealand, will allow Phil Wheelans Truck and Vans to “concentrate on their other brand represented, and specialised engineering they have within their group.”
The franchise agreement will end at the end of July.
It is thought that ‘the other brand’ mentioned in the agreement is Fuso, which although part of the Daimler Group’s truck brands, is distributed here in New Zealand by Mitsubishi.
