Transport and logistics firm Mainfreight is now operating from a larger site in Taupo.
After operating from the previous 500 square metre location for over 12 years the new “state-of-the-art” depot is three times the size.
It is located just a few kilometres from the Taupo township and right next to the new arterial motorway.
“This allows easy access for both our customers and truck drivers,” a company statement says.
Benefits also include more loading space, a large secure concrete yard for truck parking and a fully enclosed canopy area.
The expansion also provides a separate warehouse “to meet the growing demand” of the company’s specialised home delivery service.
