Volvo Group Australia is recalling 1353 Mack Trucks which may shut down without warning while the vehicle is in operation due to a loss of electrical power.
The models include CSM Metro-liner MY2009-2019, CMM Granite, CMH Trident, CLX Super-liner MY2008-2019 and CXX Titan MY2008-2016.
“Loss of electrical power will cause the truck to shut down completely and may increase the risk of an accident,” the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission says.
“This could result in serious injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.”
Affected owners will be contacted by email and advised to contact their nearest Volvo Group repairing dealer to arrange for an inspection and repair of the vehicle if required.
Concerned owners can contact their nearest authorised Volvo Group Australia repairing dealer on 07 3718 3500 or email vga.warranty@volvo.com.
