Mack Trucks has introduced a retro-themed facelift for its Super-Liner and Trident heavy-duty trucks in New Zealand and Australia.

The updated models feature a squared grille and guards designed to recall classic Mack trucks, along with new side vents and four seven-inch LED headlights to improve nighttime visibility.

Mack Trucks New Zealand general manager Scott Holt says the redesign reflects the company’s heritage in construction, infrastructure and heavy transport.

“This new look for Trident and Super-Liner really shows what Mack Trucks represents,” Holt says.

“Mack has helped build this country, from construction and infrastructure to the legendary heavy haulage, logging and bulk haulage operations that are the backbone of our transport sector today.”

The axle-forward Trident is powered by Mack’s 13-litre MP8 engine, producing 535hp and 1920lb-ft of torque. Customers can choose between 12, 13 and 14-speed mDrive transmissions.

The heavy-haulage-focused Super-Liner uses a 17-litre MP11 engine, with outputs ranging from 600hp to a class-leading 780hp and up to 2800lb-ft of torque.

“These trucks are a great example of what the Mack engineering team and our Brisbane-based factory have been able to achieve,” Holt says.

“Our passionate customers appreciate the legendary Macks of the past, so we’ve delivered a new look to carry them forward.”

All Super-Liner and Trident models ordered from September 1, 2026, will receive the updated design.
