Kennards Hire says its new online platform is an industry first in Australia and New Zealand that enables customers to conveniently order hire tools and equipment 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
When designing and building the virtual platform, Kennards Hire dedicated two years to understanding the specific needs of its customers.
The result is an easy-to-use ordering system allowing customers to access all 3,600 items in the Kennards Hire range with a few simple clicks.
Acting chief executive officer for Kennards Hire, Bill Whitehouse says delivering a convenient online hire solution for customers was a key motivator for producing the interactive website.
“We know that unexpected jobs can pop up at any time,” he says.
“Our customers need to be able to place an order at any time of the day or night and be confident they can collect their tools or equipment at their local store or have it delivered. Essentially it’s a virtual branch at their fingertips,” says Whitehouse.
Since the launch of the online platform in August, the results are speaking for themselves with almost 60% of online hire bookings made through a mobile device.
“This confirms what we know about our busy customers,” says Whitehouse.
“They are on the move and are looking for immediate service not restricted by physical branch opening hours,” he says.
“Our online hire service delivers on the Kennards Hire brand promise, ‘Make Your Job Easy.’,” says Whitehouse.
The new website is supporting 161 branches of Kennards Hire across Australia and New Zealand.
