JOST NZ, distributor of truck and trailer equipment, showed its industry support at the Road Transport Forum conference in Taupo where it featured two of its most recent additions to its stable of products.
Its Razor range comprises of electric roll-over and front-to-back tarp systems, electric landing gear and power roller doors.
When the Razor front-to-back power tarp is installed, the driver has the option to stay in the cab during operation and still have the same amount of control over the trailer or rigid.
The system is easy to use, timesaving and highly efficient.
Razor’s Power Tarp comes complete with manual override capability and is powered with the Razor Power Kit.
Each system can boast a sophisticated control box featuring a touch pad, which can be adjusted to control the sensitivity of how the tarp opens and closes.
The battery pack is trickle charged from the main unit and tops the battery up as the trailer drives along.
Without the truck, the tarps can still be operated 15 or 20 times before the battery needs to be charged.
The Razor power door system can be operated up and down from either of the remote key pads mounted adjacent to the roller door or the electronic controller mounted on the right side of the chassis at the rear.
JOST NZ introduced its new EverShine wheel this year to complement its popular range of machined and polished truck and trailer alloy wheels.
The premium forged alloy wheels feature a low maintenance wheel surface-finish tested for over 240 hours against corrosion.
EverShine wheels are resistant to pitting, blistering, corrosion and coating breakdown, and are easily cleaned with just soap and water.
The JOST brand is well known in NZ for its range of fifth wheels, Rockinger couplings, landing gear, king pins and toweyes.
It has also added JOST Axle systems to the NZ offerings and the first units have already clocked upwards of 50,000km.
In January 2015, JOST acquired Mercedes-Benz trailer axle systems, making JOST one of Europe’s important manufacturers of trailer axles.
The DCA Weightmaster is the core member of the axle series.
Its low weight coupled with its durability, the advantage of fewer components (due to its monocoque design) along with maintenance-free compact bearings, makes it ideal for use in the NZ transport industry.
