Iveco’s new light commercial vehicle range is the winner of an international accolade.
The Daily Blue Power model was crowned International Van of the Year 2018 at Solutrans international trade show for the road transport industry held in Lyon, France.
Judges say the Daily Blue Power “puts together the main and viable solutions to reduce the environmental impact of LCV [light commercial vehicles] in urban and suburban operations”.
“Iveco has the sustainable vehicles the market is asking for” and the range’s electric, natural gas and emission control systems are all “proven technologies developed by Iveco”, the judges say.
The judges were also impressed with Iveco’s new range for delivering its new diesel engine three years ahead of the European Union’s emissions testing regulations which will be mandatory for vans.
International Van of the Year chairman Jarlath Sweeney says the new Iveco Daily Blue Power range is an “impressive development”.
Iveco brand president Pierre Lahutte says the award comes as the Daily range marks its 40th anniversary.
“Beyond the acclaimed and successful product, this award recognizes the tremendous efforts made by Iveco to decisively contribute to the battle for clean air in our cities and CO2 emission reductions,” Lahutte says.
