It has established a global materials management team to monitor both the global inventory and supply chain from vendors.

Parts

Based on New Zealand and Australian requirements, any disruption of inventory supply is deemed “low risk” for at least the next 90 days, the company says.

“We strongly advice against any out-of-cycle purchasing in reaction to perceived risk .

“This will ensure our ongoing ability to supply the full network across the [Australia and NZ] region,” Iveco says.

The company is working closely with all its suppliers to “ensure the ongoing supply of critical parts”.

Warehouse

The warehouse in Wiri, Auckland is still operating at full capacity “with no foreseen risk at this point in time”.

“We are starting to see some impact from our warehouses in Italy, with periodic closures (1-2 days at a time) for sanitation.”

However, during the closures it is still receiving support for orders.

“We are also seeing some reduced capacity, due to absenteeism, at some of these locations.

“All locations throughout our global supply chain remain focused on supporting the requirements of all dealers and maintain service levels through order-type prioritisation.”

Global freight

No delays have been experienced based on International Air Transport Association (IATA) feedback however decreased capacity on in-bound air freight is expected which may cause delays.

The company’s current focus is the air freight lane from Italy which has experienced very restrictive capacity.

In terms of out-bound freight and the reduction of domestic flights, Iveco is “anticipating capacity constraints for domestic air freight, which may cause delays”.

“We have reports in place to ensure any missed air freight services are communicated to the receiver in a timely manner.

“For road freight, we are not experiencing any delays or capacity constraints,” it says.

The first assist team is in place for essential services. Iveco’s call centre partner is also confident of providing continuity of service.
