After recording record sales results in 2016, Iveco New Zealand has already exceeded last year’s figures in its first six months of 2017.
Ian Walker, general manager for Iveco New Zealand, predicted at THE EXPO that the company would exceed 200 units this year for the first time.
“I did not expect us to do this as quickly as June,” he says.
He says volume has increased by almost 63%, while market share is up from 2.63% to 4.5%,
“This year we have seen massive growth in truck sales across the board. With the introduction and interest of our Trakker range accelerating beyond our expectation and Stralis 8×4 enjoying a well-deserved resurgence in fleet, interest the future is looking very promising for the brand across all models.”
Developing the right product mix for the market has been critical, Walker says.
“We’ve consulted with the market and then developed and launched products to best fit what Kiwi owners are looking for in a van or truck and we will continue to do this with new product launches to be announced later this year.”
