Isuzu Trucks New Zealand is strengthening its service dealer network with the appointment of Southern Mechanical Services (SMS) as its new Invercargill-based service centre partner.
Established in 2010, Southern Mechanical Services specialise in all heavy automotive repairs and are the biggest privately owned workshop in Invercargill.
Isuzu Trucks NZ general manager Dave Ballantyne says his team is “fortunate to have a very good network of authorised service centre partners” as additional support for its Master Truck Dealers.
“We recognise that having a strong dealer service network nationwide is crucial to maintaining high levels of support for Isuzu Truck customers,” he says.
“We are thrilled the team at Southern Mechanical Services has now come on board with Isuzu Trucks in Invercargill, as it helps to further strengthen our nationwide network and provides additional peace of mind for owner/ operators in the southernmost part of the South Island.
“It further contributes to the all-round value proposition attainable with Isuzu Trucks and reinforces our position as the number one brand of new trucks in the country,” Ballantyne says.
Phillips Group is the owner of SMS and its general manager Lloyd Phillips says the business has “grown steadily from small beginnings” and now employ a team of almost 20 people.
“We are very excited to be able to deliver a service to all the new and existing Isuzu Truck customers and play a large part in keeping the wheels rolling in and around the lower South Island for many years to come,” Phillips says.
Isuzu Trucks is now represented by 11 Master Truck Dealers offering full sales, parts and service facilities and 18 authorised service centres throughout the country.
