Isuzu is unveiling major updates to its N Series and F Series line-ups at the 2025 Brisbane Truck Show, introducing significant advancements in safety, driver comfort and powertrain technology.
The launch signals Isuzu’s push to maintain its lead in the light- and medium-duty truck market by introducing updates aimed at meeting operator demands.
Light-duty range
The MY25 N Series line-up covers a GVM spread from 4,500kg to 8,800kg and introduces new engine options, upgraded technology, and a redesigned, ergonomic cabin.
Three new power ratings—110kW (148hp), 129kW (173hp), and 140kW (188hp)—are delivered through Isuzu’s 4JZ1 engine platform, now featuring Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and AdBlue to meet ADR 80/04 emissions standards. A standout is the new 9-speed dual-clutch transmission, delivering seamless torque-retaining gear changes, ideally suited to stop-start urban environments.
“Assigning a lower RPM range for maximum fuel efficiency, the dual-clutch system enables full-power milli-second upshifts to retain torque and promote seamless gear changes—perfect for urban driving, where much of this light-duty range will find a home,” Isuzu says.
Cab updates include better access, improved ergonomics, and comfort-enhancing upgrades such as a reduced-diameter steering wheel (440mm down from 460mm) with integrated audio, phone and driving mode controls. Operators will also find the MyIsuzu Co-Pilot multimedia system front and centre with a 7-inch touchscreen compatible with both Apple and Android platforms.

The N Series now leads the pack in safety, boasting 15 active and passive safety features. Additions to Isuzu’s already-impressive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite include Full Speed Adaptive Cruise Control, Intelligent Speed Limiter, and a new Intersection Warning System.
“Isuzu has gone above and beyond to design and engineer a new product range to boost safety for the whole spectrum of road users: the driver, other passengers, pedestrians, other vehicle operators, motorcyclists, and cyclists.”
Medium-duty
Isuzu’s flagship medium-duty range, the F Series, has also undergone a major transformation, debuting with updated cab design, comprehensive safety upgrades, and a headline collaboration with Cummins on a new 6.7-litre engine.
Visually, the MY25 F Series presents a bolder front grille, a full LED lighting package, and tailored headlamp configurations—cab-mounted on FRR and FSR models and bumper-mounted on larger FV and 4×4 units.
Safety receives what Isuzu calls “the single largest leap forward in safety in the history of the Isuzu brand”. Every model, including 4x4s, features an ADAS suite combining a low-mounted windscreen camera with bumper-integrated millimetre-wave radar, enabling up to 12 safety functions.

ADAS camera functions include:
- Lane Departure Warning
- Attention Assist Warning
- Traffic Movement Warning
- Traffic Sign Recognition with Intelligent Speed Limiter
- Adaptive Driving Beam (Except 4×4 models)
ADAS camera & millimetre radar combined functions:
- Distance warning system
- Advanced emergency brake system
- Full-speed adaptive cruise control (excl. manual transmission and 4×4 models)
“New safety standards were a key deliverable for Isuzu in designing and developing the all-new F Series range, and it’s safe to say they’ve more than met the brief.”
Under the hood, the new Isuzu DB6A engine, co-developed with Cummins, is available in 191kW (256hp) and 221kW (296hp) outputs. The engine eliminates the need for Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), favouring a SCR and Diesel Particulate Diffuser (DPD) combo to meet Euro-6 standards.
“This unique Isuzu collaboration eliminates the need for exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), meaning fewer maintenance requirements, improved combustion efficiency, and fuel economy,” Isuzu says.
Both variants are paired with Allison 6-speed Gen Six automatic transmissions, reinforcing the F Series’ heavy-duty reliability.
