Isuzu Motors president and chief operating officer Shinsuke Minami says the company will introduce the BEV ute in Europe first, and then examine its gradual roll out across more global markets.

According to Australian motoring site, Drive, the battery electric Isuzu ute will be launched in Norway in 2025, where it says the brand commands a 50% share of the pick-up market.

But Thailand remains Isuzu’s largest market for its utes, which Minami says will remain steady in the years to come.

Sales of the reimagined MY2024 Isuzu D-Max begin from October 12 in Thailand and Isuzu says it will continue to roll out the vehicle gradually across the rest of the globe.

The MY2024 Isuzu D-Max has received a considerable update to the exterior design of the front and the rear of the vehicle, inside the dashboard and infotainment have been updated, the safety system has received an updated stereo camera, a rough terrain mode has been added to 4×4 models and adaptive cruise control is now available on models with a manual transmission.
