International Telematics (IT) is gearing up for the next stage of development in markets around the globe.
Company co-founder Dean Marris will move from New Zealand to head up operations in the U.S. mid-west, opening a new office in Denver Colorado, as International Telematics continues to make inroads into the refrigeration and dry van markets across the North America.
“Being in Denver means we’ll be at the heart of one of the transportation hubs in North America,” says Marris, “We’ll benefit greatly by having a bricks and mortar presence. I’ll be on the ground to grow our market share and to support the work being done by our New York based office too.”
In Australia International Telematics is moving into premises west of the city in the midst of Melbourne’s transport and logistics hub. This move puts the company where its customers are, and gives it room to house its growing sales and support staff, with capacity for further growth.
Current executive director, customer relations Stephen Brown will now become Australasia general manager, managing International Telematics’ sales and operations, while company co- founder Ben Martel will continue to spearhead the software development team and future products through the company’s research and development group.
The company is also adding expertise in the South island.
Warren Newbury joins IT as South Island business development manager.
“Warren’s credentials around the all important compliance aspects of our business are impeccable”, says Brown.
Newbury was formerly a senior sergeant in the commercial vehicle investigation unit (CVIU) of the New Zealand Police.
“His knowledge around eRUC, compliance and the legislative landscape of the MOT and NZTA offers real added value for our customers,” says Brown.
