He moves into this position from his previous role as non-executive director at Intelematics Australia, which he has held since 2009.

Chapman takes over the duties of chief executive from Adam Game who led Intelematics from its origins as a start-up operation in Melbourne more than 17 years ago.

Today it is a global provider of connected mobility and traffic services with offices and clients throughout Europe and the United States.

Game becomes the company’s director of strategy allowing him to focus on the development of Intelematics’ products and services.

Chapman has previously worked for the Royal Auto Club Victoria (RACV) for more than 13 years where he was responsible for human resources, information technology, property, public affairs, public policy, legal, procurement and risk.

Before RACV, Chapman worked for VicRoads where he managed some international projects, in countries such as India and the Philippines.

Intellimatics opened its first international office in North America in late 2015, while a European office was established in January this year.

“My plan is to ensure the continued delivery of innovative solutions to auto club partners, to help them better engage with members,” says Chapman.

We’ll also continue to support our car manufacturers by offering both new and more advanced connected technologies that meet the real-time needs of drivers,” he says.

According to Chapman, while automotive solutions will remain a major focus, the company also intends to explore new opportunities in developing innovative solutions beyond the realm of motoring.
