Transport software supplier iCOS LIVE was part of delegation lead by Auckland City Mayor Len Brown to attend a Tripartite Summit in Los Angeles.
The NZ owned and operated company was chosen for its ‘Innovation in Transport’ approach to business, which was one of the subjects that was discussed at the Summit.
iCOS LIVE chief executive Kathy Ross says she wants the brand of software to become a household name for transport globally.
The iCOS LIVE product offer allows transport companies operate in paperless world by using smart technology. It has allowed transport companies to streamline processes and give control and total transparency.
Plugging revenue leakages as a result of lost dockets, reducing resources and double handling of information are some of the benefits achieved by using the iCOS LIVE system.
“I had no idea of the possibilities when I accepted the invitation to travel to the Tripartite summit. However within hours of returning home from Los Angeles I received two invitations from people I had met requesting further information on the iCOS LIVE system,” says Ross.
“The networking opportunities were incredible and I left there having forged some great friendship amongst not only our own team but also with a wide range of participants from other parts of the world.”
“A personal highlight for me was being introduced Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti who is being talked up by the press as being a future United States President.
iCOS LIVE have been gaining traction in Australia, but now the opportunity to exploit new markets such as Los Angeles presents additional growth prospects for the company.
According to Ross, online transport and logistics management needs to offer a real time track and trace facility that provides electronic booking through, to dispatch, and proof of delivery.
Integrated with Xero, Ross says it offers a seamless paperless solution. Integrated with EROAD, she says it provides freight tracking as EROAD know where the trucks are and iCOS LIVE knows what’s on them.
Creating an end to end digital transport solution has enabled small business owners to compete with the bigger operators according to Ross.
In the future iCOS LIVE hopes to provide a complete solution with the release of its 3PL container de-vanning and export loading online product offer. Currently the iCOS LIVE software caters for general freight, refrigerated freight, container management and tracking, bulk haulage dry and liquids, stock and panels.
