Major vehicle insurer IAG has opened two large satellite offices in an effort to reduce carbon emissions.
About 350 IAG employees are now working from a new office block in Sylvia Park shopping centre precinct, which has been open since early August, while another has just opened in Albany next to the bus station this month.
“We’ve worked with our people on designing Sylvia Park and finding the best resources and tools for collaboration and success,” IAG’s National Property Manager Tim Griffith says.
“When we saw an opportunity to bring our people together in a hub space we began working with our people to find a location that was close and accessible to those who would be working there.
“We also recognised early on that Albany and the wider north-western region is quickly growing, with a lot of investment in housing and public transport happening. So we need to be in a location that is desirable to our people and potential future employees. Albany is the perfect spot for us.”
Both Sylvia Park and Albany support flexible working, which has become a key initiative for IAG over the last 12 months, Griffith says.
