A potential fuel leak problem has led to the recall of just under 1000 trucks in Australia and New Zealand.
This includes 501 Freightliner Coronado and Argosy Trucks and 485 Western Star Trucks.
All trucks are 2017 to 2019 models equipped with DD15TC EPA07/ADR80/03 engines.
The trucks have been recalled due to a possible fire risk from fuel which may leak from the engine’s high-pressure fuel rail feed lines.
Owners are urged to contact authorised dealerships to make arrangements to have the two high-pressure fuel rail feed lines and supporting hardware from the high-pressure fuel pump to the fuel rail replaced.
There are 29 Western Stars affected by the recall in New Zealand. TransportTalk is awaiting confirmation on the number of Freightliners affected in New Zealand.
